I have been looking at buying a new bike and while I want to buy something nice, I am afraid it would be stolen. I park my bike in the streets during the day but still is very possible that "something" could happen. I was looking at some of the insurance options for bikes. I found out that you can have a renters insurance that covers personal intems (I actually not sure if this applies to Philadelphia).
I also came across a very nice and detailed article (Why We Need Cycling Insurance) by By Bob Mionske.
I also found out that there is a insurance for bicycle riders called Clipp, Inc. The only down side us that they are not in Pennsylvania yet :(
If anyone has a renters insurance in Philadelphia that covers bicycles I would like to know whow are you having your insurance policies, and deductibles, Etc. it doesn't have to be Renters insurance, it could be another one, I am stil trying to find more information about this matter in Philadelphia. (And yes, I think something like this is needed, bicycle riders need to be protected and treated right).
Have fun and ride safe!
