Phase III

Phase III of the Active Owls program is focused on the evaluation of the Neighborhood Bike Works (NBW) Earn-a-Bike program and identifying interest in incorporating Temple University students. To date we have completed baseline and follow-up focus groups with 4 NBW Earn-a-Bike cohorts. Data are currently being analyzed.

Currently, the Temple University Active Owls program is looking for Temple University students to participate in a focus group discussion about a local non-profit organization’s (Neighborhood Bike Works) program designed to promote cycling among urban youth. We hope the information and feedback participants provide may help future collaboration with Neighborhood Bike Works.

Interested individuals should be:

Enrolled as a student at Temple University
Know how to ride a bicycle and feel confident in their ability to teach others
Be available and willing to participate in a 45-60 minute focus group

Participation in this study is completely confidential. Participants will receive one $10 gift card and lunch will be provided during the discussion.
