Neighborhood Bike Works
Bike Temple supports Neighborhood Bike Works (NBW) and their North Philadelphia shop location at 1426 W. Susquehanna Ave., one block west of Broad Street. Neighborhood Bike Works North Philly is an extension of the original Neighborhood Bike Works and legendary Bike Church of West Philadelphia.
The Mission of Neighborhood Bike Works is to increase opportunities for urban youth in underserved neighborhoods in greater Philadelphia by offering educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities through bicycling; it also promotes cycling as a healthy, affordable, environment-friendly form of transportation.
Neighborhood Bike Works offers multiple services and opportunities to the Temple Community:
• Reconditioned bicycles starting at $60
• Full service repair shop
• Open DYI nights and “rent a repair stand” options
• Volunteer and work study opportunities.
